Arizona Businessman Jim Pederson Endorses Fred DuVal for Governor
June 3, 2013
Phoenix businessman Jim Pederson endorsed Fred DuVal for Arizona Governor today. Pederson, a former chairman of the Arizona Democratic Party, is well known across Arizona as a successful commercial retail developer. He is widely credited with rebuilding the state Democratic Party beginning in 2001.
“Everybody knows that growing a business requires a vision,” said Pederson. ”It’s not much different with growing the economy of a state. You need a vision, and you need someone with the leadership skills to sell that vision, and bring people together to make it come to life. Fred’s got both parts covered. He has a vision and he has the skills to bring it to life.”
“Jim Pederson is the kind of Arizona success story we need more of,” said DuVal. “Talk about creating jobs. He’s done a world of good for Arizona, in business and as a Democrat. I have listened carefully to his advice for years, and I plan to keep listening.”
Fred DuVal is an Arizona business and education leader with a track record of successful work in the Arizona Governor’s Office, the White House, Arizona’s public university system and in the private sector, where he was credited with solving big problems for middle-class families. He is running for Governor because, he said, “stalled growth and vanishing jobs are slowly closing the gates of opportunity on our next generation.” Calling for a “clear strategy to attract jobs of the future and make changes to ensure our prosperity,” DuVal has criss-crossed Arizona to hear from directly people concerned about our future.
Fred DuVal graduated from Tucson High School. He received a B.A. from Occidental College and received a degree in law from Arizona State University. He is married to Jennifer Hecker DuVal and has two sons. Learn more at www.Fred2014.com.
